Samsung is one of the most common brands in Pinellas kitchens and laundry rooms — and one of our most common repair calls. We fix Samsung French-door, four-door Flex and side-by-side refrigerators (including Family Hub and Bespoke models), front- and top-load washers, electric and gas dryers, dishwashers, ranges and over-the-range microwaves.
A lot of the Samsung equipment we see in Clearwater, Clearwater Beach and Dunedin went in during condo and kitchen remodels over the last ten to fifteen years, so many units are now just out of warranty. Samsung refrigerators lean heavily on electronics — multiple fans, temperature sensors, a main control board and an ice maker mounted inside the fresh-food door — and most models will display a numbered error code when one of those parts fails. That makes diagnosis faster, as long as the code is read correctly.
Many Samsung problems follow known patterns, which means fewer return trips. The ice maker and its compartment, defrost components, door switches on washers and heating circuits on dryers account for most of our Samsung work. Samsung parts are generally easy to get, though some model-specific boards and ice-maker assemblies take a few days to arrive; when that happens we tell you up front and schedule the return visit before we leave.
Common Samsung problems we fix
In-door ice maker freezing up
The most common Samsung refrigerator complaint: ice jams, frost building up in the ice compartment, water on the floor and a noisy ice-room fan. The usual causes are a worn compartment seal, a failed ice-room fan or a defrost problem — not a reason to replace the fridge.
Fridge warm, freezer fine
Usually an iced-over evaporator from a defrost failure (heater, sensor or control), or a failed fresh-food fan. A code like 22E or 22C points to the fridge fan; 21E or 21C to the freezer fan.
Ice maker codes 39E / 39C
Points to the ice-maker assembly — the motor, sensor or ice-full arm. Sometimes a reset clears it; if it keeps coming back, the assembly or its wiring needs attention.
Washer 4C / 5C / dC / dE codes
Water supply, drain, unbalanced-load and door-lock codes. Many are fixable without parts — a clogged inlet screen or drain filter — but door locks and drain pumps do fail. See our Samsung washer error code guide.
Top-load washer shaking or banging
Worn suspension rods and bearings let the tub hit the cabinet during spin. Replacing the suspension rods is a common, moderate-cost repair.
Dryer not heating (HE / hE)
On electric models, a failed heating element, thermal fuse or high-limit thermostat; on gas models, the igniter or gas valve coils. A clogged vent is often what killed the part, so we check airflow too.
Dishwasher LC, 5C or HE codes
LC is a leak detected in the base, 5C a drain problem (filter, pump or hose), and HE a heating fault. We find the actual source rather than just clearing the code.
Range and cooktop controls
Glass cooktop elements, oven igniters on gas models, oven temperature sensors and touch-control boards. Storm-related surges in Pinellas can take out control boards.

Samsung repair FAQ
Do you repair Samsung refrigerator ice makers?
+
Yes — it's one of our most frequent repairs. Most Samsung ice-maker freeze-ups are diagnosed and fixed in one visit. If the cause is a worn seal or failed fan, we replace it so the problem doesn't keep coming back.
Is Samsung worth repairing?
+
For fans, valves, ice makers, pumps, door locks, heating elements and sensors, almost always yes. For a failed compressor or sealed-system leak on an older, lower-priced model, replacement may make more sense — we'll give you an honest repair-or-replace opinion and the price before any work.
What do Samsung refrigerator error codes mean?
+
Most are two digits plus a letter — 21E/21C (freezer fan), 22E/22C (fridge fan), 39E/39C (ice maker). The letter varies by model. If your display shows 'OF OF', the fridge is in demo/showroom mode and isn't cooling; that's a settings fix, not a repair.
My Samsung fridge is making a loud fan noise — is that serious?
+
Usually it's ice building up around a fan blade, which points to a defrost or ice-compartment problem. Left alone it can stop cooling, so it's worth having looked at early.
Can you get Samsung parts quickly?
+
Common parts like fans, sensors, valves, drain pumps and heating elements are readily available. Control boards and ice-maker assemblies are sometimes a few days out. We'll tell you the timeline at the diagnostic visit.
My Samsung is still under warranty — should I call you?
+
If it's under Samsung's warranty, contact Samsung first so the repair is covered. Out of warranty — or if you'd rather not wait — we repair it directly, with our own 45-day parts and labor warranty.
