Amana appliances are made by Whirlpool Corporation, which acquired the brand when it bought Maytag in 2006. We repair Amana top-load washers, electric and gas dryers, top-freezer, bottom-freezer and side-by-side refrigerators, ranges, dishwashers and microwaves across Clearwater, Clearwater Beach, Dunedin and Largo.

Amana is value-priced and simple, which is why it's common in rentals, condos and investment properties around Pinellas. Its appliances are built on Whirlpool-family platforms, so they share many parts and diagnostic procedures with Whirlpool and Maytag — good news for parts availability and quick, affordable repairs. A lot of our Amana work comes from landlords and property managers.

One note: Amana-branded air conditioners, furnaces and PTAC units are made by a different company (Goodman, owned by Daikin) — not Whirlpool. We repair Amana home appliances, not Amana HVAC equipment. For appliances, you get the diagnosis and a flat price before any work, and the $79 diagnostic is credited toward the repair.

Common Amana problems we fix

  • Top-load washer won't drain or spin

Drain pumps, lid switches or lid locks, belts and drive components — mostly Whirlpool-family parts that are easy to get.

  • Washer not agitating

Agitator dogs or the motor coupling on older direct-drive designs; shifters or drive parts on newer ones.

  • Dryer not heating

Thermal fuse, heating element or thermostats on electric dryers; igniter or gas valve coils on gas dryers. A clogged vent is often the root cause, so we check airflow too.

  • Dryer squeaking or not tumbling

Drive belt, idler pulley, drum rollers or glides.

  • Refrigerator warm or freezer frosting

Evaporator and condenser fans, defrost heaters and thermostats, controls and dirty condenser coils — the same parts as many Whirlpool refrigerators.

  • Ice maker or water dispenser problems

Ice-maker assemblies, water inlet valves and frozen fill tubes on models with ice and water.

  • Range and dishwasher repairs

Bake elements, igniters, surface elements and switches on ranges; filters, drain pumps and inlet valves on dishwashers.

45-day parts & labor warranty

Every repair carries a 45-day warranty on the parts we install and on our labor.

Amana repair FAQ

Who makes Amana appliances?

+

Whirlpool Corporation. Amana appliances share many parts and diagnostic procedures with Whirlpool and Maytag, which keeps repairs affordable.

Do you repair Amana air conditioners or PTAC units?

+

No. Amana HVAC and PTAC equipment is made by a different company (Goodman, owned by Daikin) and needs an HVAC contractor. We repair Amana home appliances.

Is an Amana worth repairing?

+

Usually, for common repairs like pumps, belts, heating parts, fans and ice makers. On an older, low-cost unit with a major failure, we'll tell you honestly if replacement makes more sense.

Do you work with landlords and property managers?

+

Yes. Amana is common in rentals, and we can coordinate access with tenants and send the diagnosis and price to the owner or manager before any work.

Are Amana parts easy to get?

+

Yes — most are Whirlpool-family parts that are widely stocked. Common parts are often available within a day or two.

My Amana is under warranty — should I call you?

+

If it's still under the manufacturer's warranty, contact Amana/Whirlpool first so the repair is covered. Out of warranty, we repair it directly with our own 45-day parts and labor warranty.
