Frigidaire Oven Error Codes: F10, F11, F30, F31 & F90

Frigidaire and Frigidaire Gallery ranges with electronic oven controls show an F-code when the control detects a fault. Frigidaire's service data lists dozens of them, but a handful account for most calls: runaway temperature, keypad faults, oven sensor faults and self-clean door lock problems. Codes can vary by model, so check the service sheet or manual for yours.

F10 — Runaway temperature

Runaway temperature — the oven is heating when no cooking cycle is set, or past its safety limit.

Common causes

  • Failed oven control (stuck relay)
  • Faulty oven temperature sensor

Try this first

  • Turn off the breaker and let the oven cool

When to call: Leave the breaker off and call — an oven heating on its own is a safety issue.

F11 — Shorted keypad or selector

Shorted keypad or selector — the control sees a stuck or shorted key.

Common causes

  • Worn or damaged touch panel
  • Loose ribbon connection
  • Failed control

Try this first

  • Reset the breaker once

When to call: We test the keypad circuits to tell whether the touch panel or the control needs replacing.

F30 / F31 — Oven temperature sensor fault

Oven temperature sensor fault — F30 is an open sensor circuit, F31 a shorted one.

Common causes

  • Failed oven sensor (probe)
  • Damaged wiring or connector

Try this first

  • Reset the breaker once

When to call: Usually the sensor itself — we check its resistance and wiring, then replace what's failed.

F90 / F91 / F92 / F93 / F94 / F95 — Door lock problem

Door lock problem — the lock motor or latch didn't lock or unlock as expected.

Common causes

  • Failed door lock motor
  • Faulty lock switch
  • Wiring problem
  • Control problem

Try this first

  • Let the oven cool completely after self-clean, then reset the breaker

When to call: If the door stays locked or the code returns, the lock assembly or control needs service. Don't force the door.

F12 / F15 — Oven control internal error

Oven control internal error.

Common causes

  • Software or hardware fault in the electronic oven control
  • Surge damage

Try this first

  • Reset the breaker for 30 seconds

When to call: If the code returns after a reset, the control usually needs replacing.

How to reset

Switch off the range's breaker for at least 30 seconds, then restore power. If the code returns, the fault is still present. If the oven heats when it hasn't been turned on, leave the breaker off.

Codes vary by model and year. Check your owner's manual for your exact model — if a code isn't listed here, call us and we'll look it up.
